Barely. Without getting gruesome on you, let's just say my insides still feel ravaged after this past week.
The UC Marching Band had it's own version of the Black Plague sweep through picking us off one by one. By Tuesday night's rehearsal, 9 people had called in sick with the same thing: flu. Fever, Chills, Aches, Stomache issues of various kinds, Headaches, Congestion, Coughing...etc and so forth. A few others came to band anyways...those little troopers. Unfortunatly, those little troopers spread their joyness around and Wednesday dawned with me being fluish as well. I only stayed in bed 1 day but the 1-2 days afterwards, I had to bargain myself into doing anything productive like going to work and class. I feel pretty decent now, but most of us are still slightly under the weather. So there you have it. Flu season is upon us.
I spent the weekend in true band fashion. Saturday morning, bright and early, 5 of us piled in the Chevy and drove up to Indianapolis for the North Central District Leadership Conference for the sorority and the fraternity. It was actually quite fun seeing an old TBS friend from Ohio State and meeting some new ones. The day was long and cold, however, so we were glad to get back late Saturday night. I crashed from the exhaustion. Today, we had a joint relations event at the Cincinnati Museumn of Natural History. I've only been to the Dino Exhibit section for a class I once took, but this time I got to explore the whole shebang including the super-sweet cave system. They built a cave inside of the museum that actually replicates a fairly large cave system. You can take the advanced route or the easy route...the advanced sends you near underground waterfalls, on the edge of small pools and through extremely tight, dark crevices. Even some bats are afoot. It was really neat, you forgot you were inside at all. I love museums and institutions of learning where you can touch things. I'm a touchy-feely kind of person. :-) Afterwards, I was invited to my "little brother's" house to meet his family and have supper. Delicious. His mom has the kitchen I dream of owning some day along with all the fun gadgets.
The night was rounded out by watching the Packers lose to the Giants down at Big Red and now I'm ready for sleeps. Here, here for 3-day weekends!

Reds games Concessions
So I am working 3 Reds games this weekend...and then another one on Tuesday. I somehow in a blind state of reality signed up for all my games in a row. I don't recall this being the case when I put ink to paper, but alas, TBS takes a special kind of crazy. Last night was long and ardous on my poor feet but only three more to go. Sistas making me laugh and wrestling near the grill and telling great stories helps the night go faster. The best part was when long-haired weird guy came to my register and started talking to me about bars and stuff...came BACK later to "write down the name of the bars I should go to" on a napkin and also gave me his phone number. Thanks Jon for making me feel hot in my concession stand outfit, a hat and sweat.
I miss my guy...a lot. I could never really say that though because I know its not his fault he's busy and working on getting done with school. Just...blah sometimes.
I haven't minded playing the single game for awhile now, in fact its quite refreshing. I like being on my own schedule doing my own thing for the most part. But, there are times I get REALLY lonely. I had a weird dream last night and woke up feeling thusly.
Ok, no more worrying about THAT.
Time to make some breakfast. I think Amanda and I may go to Target which is always dangerous. I have some sort of Target complex that forces me to buy things whenever I'm there

Recovering from the emotional hangover from the weekend...
We had our sorority retreat this weekend which was AWESOME minus the funeral parts Friday and Saturday night...it was so weird seeing the boys in the middle of the weekend. Julie's funeral was beautiful and so sad...we did Shaka in her memory as the drum majors put her casket in the hearse. It just...was.
So now I'm back and can FINALLY slow down a bit since most of my work for the quarter is over.
More postage to come.

Oh happy weekend that isn't really a weekend...Last night was Screw Party at Euclid manor which is always a good time. I screwed 3 and went raping with Amanda and William until I had no more to give. Lots o' good food and laughed pretty frickin hard. Which was good for me. Then had the Wheeler house down for Guitar Hero and we of course played lots o' that as well. The neighbors upstairs never cease to amaze me with their crazy par-taying. I ended up sleeping with Amanda because my room was shaking from the bass. Chili Peppers concert tonight which was pretty effing sweet and then Rachel's birthday party. Tomorrow is bright and early leadership and then attempting to get everything done I need to do before next weekend because I won't have time this coming week.Looking forward immensely to retreat...it will be a much needed break because I am so EXHAUSTED. I just keep truckin though...I think because of the nature of the beast that is winter quarter all my resolutions will become 21st birthday resolutions on March 21st (two months from TODAY might I add.). I will have the free time to blog incessantly, exercise, learn to rappel, cook real meals, work more, and go outside more. While I love my littles and a lot of what winter quarter is all about, spring is looking mighty good right now. Especially because the 1st day of spring is my 21st birthday. (Did I mention it was two months from today? Because it is. Woot.) Just so you know. Have to be up at 8 whoopie...I'm going to retire.
